Working on swapping over to Steam Workshop mods for everything (thanks Hatchet). Still in-progress, will finish up tomorrow.

Re: Mods and Tools that enhance ArmA
So, I think we're back in business and running the latest RHS.
Thanks to Hatchet for purchasing a copy of Arma3 that we can use on the server (maybe we should add that cost as part of the dues this month?). In order to download Steam workshop mods, you have to have a copy of the game since the mods are tied to the game. I started writing a script in Bash but was pulling my hair out trying to get the looping to work so I switched over to Python.

Basically, now any time one of the popular mods we use updates, I can run this script and update the server. This is way better than finding download links, manually extracting files, and whatnot. We can almost even have clients download and use mods from the Steam workshop except there's one small issue. Ace3 provides compatibility mods with RHS and this requires a manual copying of the PBO files from another folder. This is easy to script on the server but would require manual intervention on the client. Therefore, I would recommend holding off on using Steam workshop mods for now and continue using Arma3Sync unless you really know what you're doing.
Confused yet?
Hit me up on TS if you need help.

Thanks Firwfly. I did the A3Sync thing and that seems to have worked as expected. It did show that everything needed to be updated, but the actual download was small.

Yes, everything will be yellow but it was only some minor diffs in the mod packaging.

Re: Mods and Tools that enhance ArmA
updated acre in A3sync, I believe its February 16th...
ACRE will move the plugin by its self. When you start the game if its not already there.
TS3, now has a Appdata/Roaming folder. That is were acre installs a acre folder with the plugins, and just does all the work for you.
A3sync or other loaders should not be used to install your acre plugin.(its a option you can deny, tho it never worked for me anyways...)
Its just good practice to remove old plugins, which are in the Programs/TS3 folder.
Yes we are using four RHS factions.

Re: Mods and Tools that enhance ArmA
Does anyone know which plugin is checked in TS itself..Is it the Client Query/Lua/TeamSpeak 3control plugin...or this acre2_win64.dll (which is highlighted red) on the bottom of the plugin list itself.
