ASR updates

Postby Robalo_AS » Mon Feb 13, 2012 2:11 pm

Hi all,

This week-end I found some time to work on my projects and pushed some updates on my server. I did some essential AI skill changes and this update should be considered experimental. If anyone have time to help, please join and test.
Most interested about how enemy AI is on regular and veteran. My aim was to keep them high on reaction and tactics, average to high on spotting and average on accuracy and able to have a wide range of skillsets based on difficulty settings and unit types involved.
There's also the throwable satchel, untested, in @ASR (meant to be optional on release so it has it's own bikey).

Some other things I've been doing progress on this week-end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOBtsuOQ6U8

New ASR AI beta available
- userconfig format changed, now a config class instead of code
- fixed some conditions that were preventing rearming and group consolidation features from working properly
- minor code tweaks

The skill levels were not changed from last time, but added the missing skill assignments to the userconfig for complete control.

The Appendix mod was updated to be compatible with latest betas. Note that the format of the userconfig has changed for this.

awesome Rob. hope Bue puts this on soon.

on the AI custom flying heights, can it be higher? 500m?

Ah i just saw your post in Bis, are you using this menu?

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.p ... ost2084624
We just have a scroll, which i like better, but that menu has more functionality.

Ok guess its not on SU yet?

I don;t think the GUI version ever got released. I embedded a modified 1.0 version in the MSO mission. You can add another menu entry for 500m but there are too many already, I think best would be to only have one setting with a slider UI.

Thanks!
I'm now trying to add that scroll menu first aid action as a standard feature in @ASR but it fails in my MP test with 2 games on my PC and I don't know why.

Updated ASR 1.1 beta since yesterday on mine. It has the "Combat First Aid" (thx to Gnome for suggesting the name) in the ACE interaction menu and a few other minor features. Note userconfig changed again.

Cool, hope to check it out today. Think I downloaded it yesterday from you while attempting to come play. CWR was dragging like mad and I ended up sleeping or something. Should be around a bit this weekend for testing of things.

I've been busy (or asleep) most of this week, so I am behind on getting this on the AS servers. If I get home from work before everyone is playing I will update then, otherwise I'll wait until Saturday morning.

Small updates for ASR_AI and Appendix (which includes CQFOV - updated, optional) are now available on my SU custom repo: sixupdater://asr-su.bzbit.com/a2co/asr_devel.yml

Thnx Rob. Like the ASR_AI. Still trying out the CQFOV, miss the wider FOV when driving.

On the AI, it would be nice if the AI would go on alert, but not shoot when spotting something at far distances when they have no scope. There are still alot of times they just stand around. Will try to set up a repo to work from. Hope to see you on soon.

PS new Hazerkot is fun!

have you found anytime for Alwarren's "FHQ Remington Weapon Pack" ACEcfgs? And if or when you can do them, will they be put into ASR_ACE?

That's long done, just waiting on Alwarren to update his pack first because I worked with a newer version from him.
